Izaac and Jingyi Win Top Honours At STTA Annual Awards
Singapore Table Tennis Association Annual Awards 2025
Outstanding paddlers were in the spotlight at the STTA Annual Awards 2025, held on 21 July 2025 at Novotel Singapore on Kitchener, as the table tennis community gathered to honour Singapore’s standout performers of 2024.
Izaac Quek was named ‘Star Player of the Year’ after a stellar season, while alumna Zhou Jingyi received the ‘Youth Player of the Year’ award. Both Izaac and Jingyi made a historic Olympic debut in Paris in 2024 as the youngest local-born paddlers who have represented the nation in table tennis at the Olympic Games. Izaac earned his Olympic berth by winning the Men’s Singles event at the 2024 Southeast Asia Qualification Tournament, while Jingyi qualified based on her Asian ranking.
Current student-athletes Loy Ming Ying, who is in Secondary 3, and Ser Lin Qian, a Diploma in Business Studies student-athlete, along with alumnus Koen Pang, were also honoured with special awards for their contributions and achievements in 2024.
The event was graced by Ms Goh Hanyan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment.
