Strikes, Spares, and Podiums on the National Stage

Bowling: 55th Singapore Nationals and 10th National Youth Championships


Pins dropped and standards rose as our bowlers delivered a strong showing at the 55th Singapore Nationals and the 10th National Youth Championships. Competing across age groups and categories, our past and present student-athletes stepped up on the national stage and turned preparation into podium finishes.

The Under-18 category set the tone early. In the girls’ event, Hazel Tan Rou En kept her cool under pressure and bowled with impressive consistency to clinch 1st place, leading the field from start to finish. Alyssa Hia Jing Xuan added to the team effort with a solid 5th place finish. Over in the Boys event, Mathieu Louis battled through a competitive draw to secure 5th place, showing his growing confidence.

The momentum carried into the Youth Open division, where depth and determination were on full display at the alleys. Hazel Tan Wei Ning delivered a steady and composed performance in the Girls field to claim 2nd place, while alumna Ashley Lok followed closely with a 3rd place finish. The boys’ event saw multiple standout performances, with alumnus John Faragalla powering his way to 2nd place. Kuay Jayan impressed with a confident showing to take 3rd, and Darius See Zhi Yun rounded off the top group with a commendable 4th place finish.

The Open Category capped off a memorable campaign. In the women’s event, alumna Shirlene Wong showcased experience and control to secure 2nd place. Nura Salsabila Zulkifli continued her excellent run of form this year, finishing 3rd and adding another podium to her growing list of achievements.

From rising juniors to seasoned competitors, this campaign reflected discipline, belief, and teamwork.
