Izaac Quek and alumnus Koen Pang have added another milestone to Singapore table tennis history, clinching the Men’s Doubles bronze medal at the 29th ITTF-ATTU Asian Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The pair, who won silver at the Asian Championships in 2024, returned to the podium with another strong campaign. Their run included a victory over a challenging Iranian pairing before they faced China’s Lin Shidong and Huang Youzheng in the semi-finals. Izaac and Koen put up a fight but went down 0-3 (1-11, 9-11, 9-11) to the eventual champions.

With their latest achievement, Izaac, who is in the Diploma in Business Studies (SSP-NP) programme, and alumnus Koen became the first local-born Singapore paddlers to achieve two Men’s Doubles podium finishes at the Asian Championships. Their 2024 silver had already ended Singapore’s 11-year medal drought in the event and made them the first local-born pair to win a Men’s Doubles medal at the championships.

The duo, who reached a career-high World No. 4 in the Men’s Doubles rankings earlier in 2026, have continued to establish themselves as one of Singapore’s leading doubles pairings. Their bronze in Tashkent marks back-to-back Asian Championships podium finishes, with the 2025 edition featuring only team events.
