Overview

Graduating GCE O-Level students interested in pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and who possess outstanding talent in sport, can send in their applications before or during the annual MOE DSA-JC exercise.

Singaporean students may apply to join Singapore Sports School for sports not listed above if they have the support and endorsement of the respective National Sports Association (NSA).

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must currently be graduating GCE O-Level students in Secondary 4 Express / Secondary 5NA or equivalent and studying in Singapore.

They should also have:
  • represented Singapore Schools/National Youth/Age-Group teams, or attained outstanding sport achievements;
  • offered relevant subjects and achieved good academic performance in Secondary 3/4/5 school examinations; and
  • demonstrated good conduct.

Students will be shortlisted and assessed based on track record, experience and potential in the sport, interest and passion for the sport, and motivation to join Sports School. Students are also required to clear an interview and pass a medical screening test.

Successful DSA-JC candidates will NOT be allowed to participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise. They will also NOT be allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the GCE O-Level examination results. They are expected to honour their commitment to the DSA-JC schools.

Each successful applicant will be offered a place in Sports School in January of the following year on the condition that they satisfy the minimum criterion for admission into Junior College based on his/her GCE O-Level Examinations results.

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by Sports School for further engagement.

As Sports School has to seek NSA's input and send shortlisted students for medical clearance, interested students are advised to apply under Phase 1.

PHASE 1

Application Period • From 6 May to 29 June 2025 (Sports School timeline)

Selection and Offer Stage  30 June to 12 August 2025
School shortlists, conducts selection and issues offer to selected students.

Acceptance Stage   13 to 15 August 2025
You can accept only one offer by submitting an acceptance form to the school. 

PHASE 2

Application Period • From 30 June to 17 August 2025 (Sports School timeline)

Selection and Offer Stage  18 August to 8 September 2025
School shortlists, conducts selection and issues offer to selected students.

Acceptance Stage   9 to 12 September 2025
You can accept only one offer by submitting an acceptance form to the school. 

PHASE 1 and PHASE 2

Cancellation (for both Phase 1 and 2 acceptance)  By 8 October 2025, 5pm
If you change your mind after accepting an offer and decide to participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE), you must cancel your 2025 DSA-JC acceptance by 8 October, 5pm. 

Note: Students can participate in DSA-JC and EAE concurrently, but they can accept only one offer, either a DSA-JC or EAE offer. Accepting both concurrently will result in disqualification.
