Stand Up, Speak Up, Stop Bullying!
Anti-Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying Week hit the ground running from 26 to 30 January 2026, and our student-athletes didn’t just participate, they took a stand against bullying. Through a series of meaningful activities and key messages, the week emphasised the importance of being an upstander, someone who takes responsible action to support others and speak up against bullying.
During assemblies, student-athletes engaged with thought-provoking messages that encouraged reflection on the impact of words and behaviour, and the role each individual plays in shaping the culture of our school. These sessions reinforced a clear expectation: bullying should never be normalised, overlooked, or tolerated.
In addition, the school community put on mismatched socks over the week to celebrate diversity and promote acceptance, an important reminder that inclusivity strengthens our community.
Student-athletes also showed solidarity by clipping on carabiners, a visible symbol of represent connectivity. This collective gesture reflected our students’ willingness to stand together, look out for one another, and contribute actively to a culture where everyone feels connected and supported.
Importantly, the week also highlighted the need to practise cyber kindness, recognising that bullying can occur both on campus and online. Student-athletes were encouraged to communicate responsibly and consider the consequences of their digital actions.
As we conclude Anti-Bullying Week, the message remains clear: choose inclusivity, speak up when it matters, and stand together to prevent bullying. By doing so, we strengthen a school culture that connects, supports, and uplifts every member of our community, both on campus and online.
