Starting Right in 2026
Start Right Programme
The school year kicked off on an energised note as student-athletes came together for the Start Right Programme, held from 5 to 9 January 2026. Designed to set the tone for a purposeful and positive year ahead, the programme welcomed student-athletes into the new academic year through a blend of engaging activities, learning journeys and inspiring talks.
Through bonding games, experiential learning and sessions led by staff and external speakers, student-athletes were supported in transitioning smoothly into school life, establishing routines, building meaningful relationships and developing essential life skills.
High energy, big smiles and great vibes as student-athletes and staff kicked off the first morning of school learning the new school dance, led by student leaders.
Student-athletes also had an inspiring talk by Warren Sheldon Humphries. He shared his powerful journey of resilience and comeback after a rare health condition cost him his marriage, career and confidence.
Day 2 was all about bonding, reconnecting and building team spirit, as each cohort spent time getting to know one another better after the holidays.
A highlight of Day 3 was the visit by Kiss92 DJs, who shared insights during an engaging talk on “Be Creative, Be Fair”.
Student-athletes took learning beyond the classroom with adventure-filled learning journeys across Singapore, from cultural heritage trails to sustainability-focused experiences.
Our IBDP student-athletes gained a unique and immersive perspective through the Dialogue in the Dark experience at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
The Start Right Programme also extended into sports training, where games were played, friendships were forged, and the year began with unity and purpose.
At the Boarding House, an Orientation Programme was conducted to help student-athletes settle in and ease into boarding life.
