Our paddlers kicked off 2026 with purpose and precision, turning in a strong showing at both local and international competitions.

Held from 2 to 11 January 2026, the National ‘B’ Division Championships saw our team set the tone for the year with an impressive 11-medal haul – 3 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze – across the Men’s and Women’s events.

Nicholas Tan demonstrated composure, consistency, and strong match temperament to clinch 1st place in the Men’s Singles. The momentum carried into the doubles events too, where Jaryl Wong and Benaiah Seah combined brilliantly to take victory in the Men’s Doubles, showing sharp coordination and excellent control under pressure.

The team’s depth shone brightest in the Mixed Doubles, where our paddlers delivered a standout 1–2–3 finish. Leading the charge were Jaryl Wong and Rhiannon Tey, who topped the podium with a confident performance and strong teamwork, an exciting highlight that capped off a successful championship.

On the international stage, Izaac Quek and alumnus Koen Pang represented with pride at the WTT Contender Muscat 2026, held from 19 to 24 January 2026 in Oman. Competing against strong opponents, the Men’s Doubles pair showcased outstanding chemistry and calm execution. With each round, they grew in confidence and rhythm, putting together a spirited run all the way to the semi-finals.

They eventually finished with a jointbronze, a commendable achievement that reflects both their quality and their ability to perform on a bigger stage.
