Shooters Display Grit and Growth At National Showdown

Shooting: National School Games – ‘A’ and ‘B’ Division


The National School Games ‘B’ Division Shooting Championships, held from 7 to 11 April 2025, proved to be a resounding success for our shooters, who demonstrated tremendous hard work, determination, and improvement over the past year.

Individually, several shooters delivered standout performances. Secondary 3 student-athlete Nicholas Tan claimed a gold medal in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle category. Also in Secondary 3, Corwyn Koh added to the medal tally with a silver in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol event, while Bernice Lim put in a strong showing to finish fourth in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle category.

Their collective efforts led to impressive team results. The men’s team secured a silver for the Divisional Title, while the women’s team brought home a bronze.


The momentum continued with the ‘A’ Division Shooting Championships, held from 21 to 25 April 2025. The competition culminated in an intense final filled with exciting moments of resilience, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. Despite a smaller team size, our shooters displayed unwavering determination.

IBDP, Year 5 student-athlete Wichelle Tan claimed a third place in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle (Individual), while schoolmates Joey Oh and Chloe Tai came in 4th in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle and Pistol (Individual) event respectively.

The combined efforts of the women’s team delivered a remarkable performance to capture the Women’s Divisional Title, while the Men’s Team narrowly missed out on a podium finish due to insufficient team numbers.

Beyond medals and accolades, every shooter is celebrated for their spirit and perseverance, regardless of the final standings.
