Bowling: 25th Asian Junior Tenpin Bowling Championships

Bowlers delivered an outstanding performance at the 25th Asian Junior Tenpin Bowling Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, with Nura Salsabila Zulkifli leading the way through a medal-winning campaign and the boys' team powering their way to gold.
Nura enjoyed a memorable championship, returning home with a medal of each colour across multiple events. She was part of the Girls' Team that claimed the gold medal and also captured bronze in the Girls' Singles after knocking down 1,144 pinfalls.
She also produced a remarkable run in the Girls' Masters competition. Qualifying 12th in the All Events standings, Nura surged to the top of the leaderboard after Masters Block 1 with 1,668 pinfalls before finishing third overall after Block 2 with 3,195 pinfalls to earn a place in the Stepladder Semi-finals. Showing tremendous composure under pressure, Nura defeated Chinese Taipei's Li Yi-Rou 221-156 in the semi-final to advance to the title match. She then pushed Kuwait's Sharifa Askander all the way in a closely contested final, eventually settling for silver after a narrow 362-372 aggregate score across two games.
The boys were equally impressive in the Team event, where current student-athletes Lucas Goh, Darius See, together with past student-athlete Kaelan Lim and teammate Izz Irfan, clinched the gold medal. The quartet topped the standings with 5,207 pinfalls, finishing a commanding 177 pins ahead of the runners-up to be crowned Asian Junior Champions.
