Connecting Through Sport

A 35-member delegation from the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) visited Singapore Sports School on 12 August 2026 to learn more about the School's high performance sport and education ecosystem. The delegation included SF&OC representatives, as well as 30 students from Hong Kong College of Technology, The Education University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Baptist University.

Representing a wide range of sports including swimming, rugby, badminton, taekwondo, basketball, cricket, dragon boat, athletics, fencing, soccer, handball, archery, sport climbing and rope skipping, the university students were introduced to Sports School's athlete development pathways and training environment. They ended the visit by interacting with student-athletes over lunch.

On 27 August 2026, Sports School welcomed Her Excellency Ambassador Lisbet Quesada Luna, Ambassador of Cuba to Singapore, for a visit to gain a deeper understanding of the School and explore opportunities for future collaboration and exchange between Cuba and Singapore.

Following a presentation, the Ambassador toured several key training facilities on campus, including the Fencing Hall, Shooting Range, Multi-Sport Hall and Bowling Centre, where she gained first-hand insights into the environment and resources that support the development of student-athletes.
