ROAR-ing Into Action
ROAR Awards (May 2025)
It was a bumper crop of ROAR Award recipients in May! 7 student-athletes stood out not only for their contributions but also for the character and leadership they displayed in bringing our school values to life.
After participating in the Secondary 1 Applied Learning Programme on sustainability, Andre Nicholas Chong Chua and Hannah Soffiah Mohamed Hanafiah presented to the school what they had learned with confidence. Andre demonstrated creativity and resilience by collecting and cleaning used drink packaging, which he repurposed into a featured artwork for the school’s Open House. Beyond the creative process, he worked closely with staff to refine his presentation and engaged visitors with clarity and confidence, receiving positive feedback from participants. His enthusiasm carried through to the Earth Day Assembly, where he delivered a compelling message on sustainability.
Hannah was a dependable and driven team player. She approached each task, from preparing materials to supporting peers, with responsibility and care. She collaborated with staff to prepare for her role as a student presenter and delivered her message with conviction at both the Open House and Earth Day Assembly. Together, Andre and Hannah helped strengthen our school’s sustainability efforts while inspiring their peers.
