Fencers Find Their Mark at Singapore Open and Singapore Junior Open

Fencing: Singapore Open and Singapore Junior Open

Our fencers returned with a strong collection of 8 medals from the Singapore Open and Singapore Junior Open, held from 5 to 7 September 2026, with podium finishes across Épée, Foil and Sabre events.

At the Singapore Junior Open, Natallie Chan claimed top honours in the Junior Women’s Sabre, while fellow Sports School fencer Jae Lim finished 2nd to complete a one-two finish in the event. The podium finishes continued in other junior events, with Annabelle Ong and Lee En Qi both securing joint bronze in the Junior Women’s Epee. Thaddaeus Ted Lee also earned joint bronze in the Junior Men’s Foil.

Jae continued her strong showing in the senior competition, picking up another silver in the Senior Women’s Sabre at the Singapore Open. Jaida Quah added a joint bronze in the same event, while Marcus Maximillian Tan earned a joint bronze in the Senior Men’s Sabre.

The results capped another encouraging competition for our fencers, with valuable podium experience gained across both the junior and senior categories as they continue to sharpen their skills on the piste.
