A Golden Double and a Team Triumph

Badminton: 19th CSC Age Group Badminton (Invitational) Tournament 2026 and SBC Protech International Badminton Championships 2026


Abhyarthna Chhajer enjoyed a memorable outing at the 19th CSC Age Group Badminton (Invitational) Tournament 2026, held from 5 to 13 September 2026, as she won two titles and a bronze medal. Her achievements headlined a strong showing by our shuttlers, who collected 3 gold, 6 silver and 3 joint-bronze finishes across the age-group and open events.

Abhyarthna claimed top honours in the Women’s Open Singles and partnered Jessie Batchelor to secure the U17 Girls’ Doubles crown. She also finished joint 3rd in the U17 Girls’ Singles, completing a successful campaign across both singles and doubles events.

Sharing in the golden celebrations were Chew Jie Yang and Aldrich Goh Guan Song, who emerged as champions in the U17 Boys’ Doubles. Meanwhile, Jessie added a second podium finish to her tally, teaming up with May Yoon San to take silver in the Women’s Open Doubles.

In the U15 events, Ong Jun Yang earned silver in the Boys’ Singles and partnered Shane Soh Kang for a joint bronze in the Boys’ Doubles. Alanna Tan Jia Xin and Jasmine Toh Qi Hui also enjoyed a rewarding outing, finishing runners-up in the Girls’ Doubles.

Gerald Koh secured 2 silver medals in the U19 category, placing 2nd in the Boys’ Singles and joining forces with Tan Wei Da for another runner-up finish in the Boys’ Doubles. Caryn Chua Xin Lin and partner Eva Tan Jiaxuan added to the silver haul in the U17 Girls’ Doubles, while Foo Ee Zen rounded off the results with a joint bronze in the Men’s Open Singles.

With podium finishes spanning the U15, U17, U19 and open categories, the tournament offered plenty to celebrate for the badminton contingent.

SBC Protech International Badminton Championships 2026


There was plenty more to celebrate across four days of competition at the SBC Protech International Badminton Championships 2026, held from 27 to 30 August in Johor, Malaysia. Our shuttlers collected a strong haul of silver and bronze medals in both singles and doubles events.

Andres Lim and Tan Xi En were crowned Boys’ Doubles U14 champions, and Bonia Bai and Chara Loo, took top honours in the Girls’ Doubles U18.

Xi En added another Boys’ Singles U14 silver, while Rithika Somasundaram enjoyed a busy run on the podium with silver in both the Girls’ Singles U15 and U18 events, as well as another silver alongside Raeanne Ang in the Girls’ Doubles U15. Julian Tan also finished runner-up in the Boys’ Singles U16.

Bronze medals came through Yeoh Kai Jie, Sean John Salim, Raeanne Ang, Foo Ee Zen, Jayden Fan, Sara Nadya Foo, Abhyarthna Chhajer, Jessie Batchelor, Chew Jie Yang and Taean Tan, rounding off a rewarding championship for our badminton contingent.
