Bowling Quartet Struck Silver in World Youth Championships

Singapore Sports School alumni Ashley Lok and Nur Irdina Hazly joined current student-athletes Hazel Tan and Lim Shi En in delivering an impressive campaign at the 2026 IBF World Youth Championships, where Team Singapore secured the Women’s Team silver medal. The competition was held from 27 June to 7 July 2026 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The quartet began strongly, qualifying 2nd overall with 2,047 pinfalls across 10 games to earn their place in the Top 16 Matchplay round.

Team Singapore continued their consistent form in matchplay, recording 4 wins from 6 matches to finish with 12 points and advance to the semifinals. Facing Malaysia in a best-of-three series, the team produced a composed performance to claim a 2-1 victory and book their place in the championship match.

They came up against a formidable Team USA side in the final and fought hard before going down 2-0. The result capped a memorable run and earned Singapore an outstanding silver-medal finish on the world stage.
