Values in Action: Badminton, Fencing, Netball, Shooting, Track and Field Academy, VIA Poster Competition

Our shuttlers picked up their rackets on 26 May 2026 for a different purpose — teaching badminton strokes and rallying with students from Fuchun Primary School.

Our fencers had a busy month giving back to the community by conducting three workshops for students from Woodlands Primary School, Kranji Primary School, and Huamin Primary School. As fencing is not commonly offered as a co-curricular activity in primary schools, the workshops provided meaningful early exposure to the sport. Students also had the opportunity to suit up in fencing gear and try basic fencing techniques.

On 22 May 2026, our netballers engaged students from Woodlands Primary School through fun activities that introduced them to the fundamentals of the game.

Students from Sembawang Primary School had an exciting afternoon on 13 May 2026 as they experienced handling and shooting an air rifle for the first time at our Shooting Range. Our shooters guided them through proper handling techniques and aiming skills, giving them an unforgettable introduction to the sport.

The Track and Field Academy also organised a Kids Athletics Challenge featuring mini athletic activities. Through the programme, participants gained exposure to track and field, learnt the importance of teamwork, and developed greater confidence in physical activity.

As part of the VIA programme, lower secondary student-athletes designed posters to promote inclusivity in sport and raise awareness of para sports.

Secondary 1 student-athletes created posters on the theme “Awareness & Empathy: Understanding Inclusion” to foster greater empathy and understanding of inclusion in sports and the community. Secondary 2 student-athletes explored the theme “Discovering Para Sports” through their creativity, deepening their awareness of various para sports and the experiences of para-athletes.
