Student Leaders Move Forward with Fortitude
Student Leaders’ Investiture Ceremony 2026
“Forward with Fortitude” was the theme of the Student Leaders’ Investiture Ceremony held on 25 May 2026, during which 133 student-athletes were officially inducted into leadership roles. The occasion marked their commitment to move forward with strength, resilience, and dedication in serving the school community.
Outgoing Student Council President Cari-Anne Ong handed over the baton to the newly appointed President, Meredith Chow (Netball, IBDP Year 5). She will be supported by Vice-Presidents Ethan Tan Zi Jun (Water Polo, Secondary 4) and Ong Shi Han (Netball, IBDP Year 5). Together, they lead the 23rd Student Council comprising Student Councillors, Sports Captains, and Boarding Captains.
In her address, Meredith reaffirmed her vision for the Council, sharing, “As the 23rd Student Council, we move forward not as individuals, but as one united team, working together to strengthen our school culture and create an environment where every student feels supported, included, and able to thrive both in their pursuits and in their well-being.”
The ceremony was graced by alumnus Matthew Goh, the 3rd President of the Student Council, who had the honour of formally inducting the new Executive Committee by presenting their badges. This symbolic gesture marked a meaningful continuation of leadership tradition, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of his own presidency.
Family members, staff, and student leaders from other schools attended the ceremony in support of the occasion. The event concluded with the recitation of the Student Leaders’ Pledge, followed by the symbolic passing of the flame from the outgoing Council to the incoming Council, signifying the continuity of leadership and service.
