8th Singapore Junior & Hopes Invitational Tournament 2026
At the 8th Singapore Junior & Hopes Invitational Tournament 2026, Singapore Sports School’s young paddlers showed that the future is already finding its rhythm.
Held from 2 to 6 June 2026, the tournament brought together promising table tennis players across the U15 and U19 categories, giving our student-athletes a valuable stage to compete, adapt and measure their progress against a strong field. Across five days of competition, they delivered a string of assured performances, returning with titles, podium finishes and plenty of match experience.
The U15 paddlers also stepped up with encouraging performances of their own. Zane Ong finished 2nd in the U15 Boys’ Singles, with Isaiah Loh placing 3rd. Together with Damien Li, they secured another 2nd-place finish in the U15 Boys’ Team event.
Chevelle See and Gu Xintian added to the medal tally with joint 3rd-place finishes in the U15 Girls’ Singles. Chevelle, Sonia Zainudeen and Arissa Cheng went on to finish 2nd in the U15 Girls’ Team event, while Gisele Koh and Janice Zhuang earned 3rd place.
The U19 paddlers led the charge with standout results in both singles and team events. Ellsworth Le captured the U19 Boys’ Singles title, while Nicholas Tan and Benjamin Lau finished joint 3rd to complete a strong showing in the event. Nicholas later teamed up with Jaryl Wong to clinch the U19 Boys’ Team title.
In the U19 Girls’ events, Rhiannon Tey, Joeunn Seow, Sie Lay Yin and Zhou Ziyan combined well to win the U19 Girls’ Team title. Lay Yin also added a 2nd-place finish in the U19 Girls’ Singles, while Rhiannon placed 3rd, making it a rewarding outing across both individual and team play.
