SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship Boost for Talented Champions

SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship

More than 50 student-athletes were among 414 young sporting talents recognised at the Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Scholarship 2026, with 16 student-athletes receiving the High Performance Under-18 award.

The scholarship recognises promising young athletes who have shown strong performances in their respective sports, while providing support to help them pursue their sporting goals. For recipients in the High Performance Under-18 category, the award also affirms their place on the high performance pathway as they continue to train and compete at national, regional and international levels.

Established through the generosity of philanthropist Mr Peter Lim, the scholarship has become a meaningful boost for young athletes in Singapore. Beyond easing the financial demands of training and competition, it also serves as a vote of confidence in the next generation of sporting talent. The funds can be used to support sport-related expenses such as training, competition fees, equipment, coaching, transport and medical consultation for sport injuries.

For our student-athletes, the scholarship is more than an award. It recognises the many unseen hours behind each result: early morning training sessions, disciplined routines, competitions away from home, and the constant effort to balance sport and studies. It is also a reminder that their journeys are supported by a wider sporting community that believes in their potential.

As they continue to sharpen their craft and represent school and country with pride, our scholarship recipients carry with them the values that define the Sports School journey. They are not just chasing medals, they are building character, resilience and purpose through sport.
