On Friday, 30 January 2026, we went on a day trip to Sekolah Sukan Tunku Mahkota Ismail, and it was a meaningful experience for me. I did not take part in the training, so I watched from the side during the conjoint session. From there, I observed that their netballers trained with a high level of discipline and focus. Both teams played a possession game and were split into different age groups, which showed how training was adjusted to suit different levels.
It was really fun to watch my Academy mates train together with their players. There was a lot of energy during the session, and everyone communicated well and worked together. While watching them from the side, I noticed that their netballers were very supportive and committed. Seeing them interact and learn from one another made the training enjoyable to watch.
In the afternoon, both teams played a friendly match. Even though it was not a competition, the game was still played with intensity, and it was interesting to see how the players applied what they had practised earlier. Overall, the trip gave me useful insights into the standards and mindset required in Sports Schools, which motivated me to improve as a netball player.
