Discipline and Dedication Lead To Diplomas

Polytechnic Graduation – Class of 2025

38 student-athletes have successfully completed their post-secondary education via the through-train polytechnic pathway. They have graduated from the joint diploma programme offered in partnership with Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Republic Polytechnic, marking a major milestone in both their academic and athletic journeys. These individuals exemplify what it means to pursue excellence on and off the field.

Tiffany Seet He Yun, a dedicated fencer who graduated with a Diploma in Business Studies from Ngee Ann Polytechnic has earned her the prestigious Activa Media Prize for Most Outstanding Academic Performance in the Entrepreneurship Management Option. Tiffany was also one of 12 recipients of the inaugural spexEducation Undergraduate Scholarship which will put her on a Dual Career Track as she plans to juggle university studies while intensifying her training for future competitions.

On her ability balance the demands of sports and studies, Tiffany said, “I write down everything that needs to be done and really stick to them. I love the pomodoro method since it encourages pausing between tasks. Rest keeps me balanced and is just as important as the work itself.”

Tang Hong An, a talented shooter who completed his Diploma in Business at Republic Polytechnic was rewarded for excellence in his studies. He was awarded the Module Prize in Sports Events Management during the graduation ceremony. While taking the extended diploma programme to effectively juggle sports and studies, Hong An competed in international competitions such as the 19th Asian Games, Asian Shooting Championships and ISSF Junior World Championship, and had even broken the 7-year 10m Air Rifle Men’s national record at the 2024 H&N Cup. Recently inducted into the spexPotential programme, his sporting journey continues to gain momentum.

These achievements are more than just academic honours for our student-athletes. They reflect the values of perseverance, focus, and adaptability that are at the heart of student-athlete life. As they step forward into new chapters, whether in sports, academics, or professional careers, we are confident they will continue to make a meaningful impact.
