Smashing Medals and Milestones at Home and Abroad

Our student-athletes put in an impressive performance at the WYSE Active VICTOR Age Group Series 2026, held from 15 to 22 March 2026, racking up multiple podium finishes across age groups and events. From composed rallies to decisive winners, the week saw our shuttlers competing with confidence and intent.

Leading the highlights was Rithika Somasundaram, who delivered a standout campaign in the Under-17 Girls Singles. She controlled her matches with sharp shot selection and composure, emerging as champion. Rithika then teamed up with Chara Loo Kit Rei in the Under-17 Girls Doubles, where the pair combined effectively to secure a second gold medal, capping off a remarkable double victory.

In the Under-17 Girls Doubles, Jessie Batchelor and Caryn Chua Xin Lin added to the medal haul with a strong runners-up finish, while Vivian Loh Yu En partnered Eva Tan Jiaxuan to claim a joint 3rd placing. Vivian Loh Yu En and Bonita Bai Hanqian also impressed in the Under-17 Girls Singles, both finishing joint 3rd after a series of competitive matches.

Our Under-15 Girls Doubles pairs also made their mark. Sara Nadya Foo and Emma Ang Yuxuan fought their way to a commendable 2nd-place finish, while Alanna Tan Jia Xin and Jasmine Toh Qi Hui secured joint 3rd, showing resilience throughout the competition.

In the boys’ events, Daryl Leong Jun Rui and Julian Tan Yi Kai delivered a solid performance in the Under-17 Boys Doubles to finish second. Ong Jun Hao, partnering Ng Yu Ze, claimed joint 3rd in the same event. In the Under-15 Boys Singles, Andres Lim Yong Li battled his way to a joint 3rd placing.

Rounding off the results, Tai Wan Yuu partnered Sophie Lim to secure a joint 3rd placing in the Women’s Doubles Open, competing against a strong field.

On the international front, our shuttlers Blairdimir Herbert and Zack Ng took on the IBERDROLA Spanish Open 2026, held from 13 to 15 March 2026 in Spain, competing in the Under-19 Men’s Singles against a strong global field.

Both players showed resilience and composure against top junior opposition. Zack Ng secured a joint 3rd placing after a series of hard-fought matches, while Blairdimir Herbert advanced to the final. In a closely contested match, Blair pushed his Portuguese opponent to the limit before finishing 2nd with a 20-22, 15-21 result.
