Shooters Take Aim and Triumph at Invitationals

Our shooters produced a commanding display of grit, composure and focus at the NUS and NTU Invitational Shoot 2026, returning with an impressive haul of medals and championship titles.


At the NUS Invitational Shoot, held from 22 to 25 February 2026, they rose to the occasion despite balancing demanding training schedules with weighted assessments. Under pressure, they stayed composed on the firing line and delivered an outstanding total of 7 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals. Their stellar performances also enabled the team to retain the Overall Champion titles for both Air Rifle and Air Pistol in the School Category.

There were many standout performances across both the individual and team events. In rifle, Freya Lim clinched gold in the 10m Air Rifle Women School Individual, while Lee Zhe Kai emerged champion in the 10m Air Rifle Men School Individual. The team events were equally impressive, with Bernice Lim, Freya Lim and Jeslyn Woo securing gold in the women’s event, while Eston Soo, Lee Zhe Kai and Au Yong Yi Yong triumphed in the men’s event. In pistol, Quek Gek Ling captured gold in the 10m Air Pistol Women’s School Individual, while Daanish Teo Yasin Teo topped the 10m Air Pistol Men’s School Individual.


The momentum carried into the NTU Invitational Shoot 2026, held from 1 to 7 March 2026, during which our shooters once again demonstrated remarkable resilience amid ongoing examinations. Despite the added pressure of managing both competition and academics, they delivered another strong performance, amassing 16 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals and emerging as Overall Winner in the School Category.

Among the key achievements were gold-medal performances by Clarice Lee, Daanish Teo Yasin Teo, Lee Zhe Kai, Sean Leow, Wichelle Tan, Jeslyn Woo and Belinda Lim in their respective individual events. The team also swept to gold in the 10m Air Rifle Men’s Team and 10m Air Rifle Women’s Team events across Categories A, B and C, as well as in the 10m Air Pistol Men’s Team events for Categories A and B and the 10m Air Pistol Women’s Team (Category A) event.
