Paddlers March into a Season of Excellence
Table Tennis: STTA Age Group Championships, WTT Youth Contender Berlin 2026, Ser Lin Qian’s World Ranking
Our paddlers turned the school holiday season into a celebration of excellence at the STTA Age Group Championships 2026 from 14 to 22 March 2026. In a stunning display of depth, determination and dominance, they swept every Under-15 and Under-19 singles title, taking home a total of 13 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze).
Leading the charge in the Under-15 division were Zane Ong and Sonia Zainudeen, who captured the Boys’ and Girls’ singles crowns with confidence and composure. In the Under-19 category, Loy Xing Yao and Rhiannon Tey continued the winning momentum, producing commanding performances to secure the Boys’ and Girls’ titles. To top it off the Under-15 and Under-19 girls swept every single finish on offer, highlighting their dominance and impressive quality on the podium.

On the international stage, Loy Ming Ying added another shining chapter to the season at the WTT Youth Contender Berlin 2026. She claimed her first individual WTT podium finish of the year with a second-place finish in the Under-17 Girls’ Singles. Her journey to the final featured a composed 3-0 win in the semifinal and a hard-fought 3-2 triumph in the quarter-final.

Meanwhile, Ser Lin Qian reached a significant career milestone by climbing to World No. 93. Rising 33 places from No. 126, this breakthrough jump marks a new personal best and reflects the progress, belief and ambition driving our post-secondary student-athlete forward.
