Information for Swimming Selection (2027 Intake)

STAGES OF SELECTION RESULT
Phase 1: Engagement Session
  • Target Group: P6 swimmers and their family who are interested to find out more about the Swimming Academy
  • Hosts: Senior General Manager and Coaches
  • Period: January to May 2026
 Interested applicants are to complete the online Registration Form: https://go.gov.sg/ssp-application-enrol;
and subsequently express interest for our P6 Combined Training via: https://forms.gle/pxkPKKdu63HabLRY6
Phase 2: P6 Combined Training
  • Target Group: P6 swimmers who have competitive swimming background
  • Venue: Singapore Sports School Long Course or Short Course Pool
  • Period: January to June 2026
  • Time: 07:30h to 10:00h (School Tour and Q&A Session for parents will be conducted on selected Saturdays)
  • Participants must be proficient in all 4 strokes and have prior competitive swimming experience and results.
The purpose of the combined training is for our coaches to assess the child’s train-ability, coach-ability and ability to work in a team. It is also for the child to experience the training environment, swim programme and to know more about the Academy.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified for e-engagement/ admission interview.
Phase 3: One-to-One e-Engagement Session (optional)
  • Purpose: To better understand swimmer’s aspirations and to answer further questions from parents
  • Target Group: Shortlisted P6 applicant and family after Combined Training
  • Engagement Team: Senior General Manager and Head Coach / Coach
  • Period: March to June 2026
Shortlisted applicants will be notified for admission interview within a month after the e-engagement.
Phase 4: Interview (Online)
  • Period: April to July 2026
Successful applicants will be offered Direct School Admission to the Singapore Sports School.

Note: Parents are advised to accompany their child for all sessions in the selection process.
