Track and Field: Western Australia State Track & Field Championships 2025, Erovra Relay Championships 2025, New Zealand Combined Events Championships 2025, SA Age Group Championships 2025
The Track and Field Academy had an action-packed March, with student-athletes excelling in both local and overseas competitions.
The excitement started in Western Australia when Secondary 3 student-athletes Chng Shu Ting Megan, Ethan Roman, and Wilson Tan Shen Kai represented the Singapore Schools Sports Team at the 2025 Western Australia State Track & Field Championships 2025 from 7 to 9 March 2025. The competition was fierce - but these young athletes rose to the challenge, returning home with 4 stunning new personal bests and 3 hard-fought bronze medals.
Ethan Roman delivered a performance to remember. Exploding off the blocks with sheer determination, he blazed through the 100m finals, shattering his previous best of 11.69s and crossing the finish line in a breathtaking 11.18s. It was a race of raw speed, precision, and unyielding spirit. Wilson leaped to a podium finish twice in high jump and long jump, and reached new personal bests with his impressive performance.

Jayden Ng shone at the NZ Combined Events Championships from 22 to 23 March, scoring an impressive 5716 points in the U18 Men’s Decathlon - well above the 6th Asian qualifying mark. Meanwhile, Lucas Fun also participated but had to withdraw due to a strained hamstring.
Locally, at the Erovra Relay Championships 2025 from 8 to 9 March at ActiveSG Yio Chu Kang Stadium, the girls’ relay teams took top spots. Notably, Secondary 2 student-athletes from the Multi-Sport Academy completed the race in first place in the 4x100m Boys’ Hurdles.
