Netball: National School Games Netball North Zone, Tanglin Lions Netball Tournament
Our netballers had learning experiences at the National School Games (NSG) Netball North Zone competition, competing against strong teams from various schools in the region. Demonstrating skill, teamwork, and resilience, the team secured the zonal third place. Their performance throughout the NSG season showcased the dedication and hard work of the players and coaches throughout the season. They will be competing in the national round from 1 April 2025.
They also enjoyed their experience at the Tanglin Lions Tournament on 15 March. A total of three Singapore Sports School teams took part in the Tanglin Lions Tournament– one team in the 19&U category and two teams in the 16&U category. This tournament featured local and overseas international schools from Canada, Hong Kong and Malaysia. This annual event, organised by Tanglin Trust School, has given the netballers a chance to showcase their consistency and ability to perform under pressure.
Against formidable opponents, the SSP Platinum (19&U team) achieved an overall third-place finish. Their commendable performance in this tournament reflects their strategic gameplay and commitment to excellence.
Under the 16&U category, the SSP Gold team and SSP Silver team put up a strong fight throughout the competition and achieved 4th place and 10th place overall. The participation of three squads in the tournament provided valuable experience and exposure to high-level competition, fostering growth and development among the players.
The teams showcased remarkable performances. These achievements are a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and hard work of the players and coaching staff. Moving forward, the team aims to build on these successes, refine their skills, and continue striving for excellence in the coming National round of the National School Games competitions.
