Sports School Goes To ASG

2019 ASEAN Schools Games

Twenty-one Singapore Sports School student-athletes from four academies are bound for the 2019 ASEAN Schools Games in Semarang, Indonesia, from 17 to 25 July 2019. Student-athletes from the Badminton, Swimming, Table Tennis, and Track and Field Academies are part of the 170-strong Singapore contingent competing at the 11th edition of the ASG.

At the send-off ceremony held at Tanjong Katong Secondary School on 3 July 2019, guest-of-honour Ms Indranee Rajah, Second Minister for Finance and Education, encouraged the youth athletes to strive for excellence and display good sportsmanship and character. Singapore’s school athletes will compete in eight sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.
