Mother Tongue Fortnight 2023

Our Secondary and IBDP student-athletes gained a better appreciation of their Mother Tongue cultures and language through the annual Mother Tongue Fortnight. Over the two-week programme which started on 26 January, student-athletes put on their artistic hat to try out different cultural activities, such as Indian textile painting, seal carving, clay art, Chinese painting, Kompang and Dikir Barat. They also picked up new culinary skills as they learnt to make dumplings and traditional Kuihs. The student-athletes also had fun dressing up in Hanfu, a traditional costume worn by the Han Chinese, as well as running around the school solving quiz related to Chinese culture and language through an amazing race.
