Golf: 3rd National Ranking Game

Sports School’s golfers performed well at the 3rd National Ranking Game held from 20 to 23 September 2023. Irvyn Tan Sheng Kang and Nathen Tan En Quan had a 1-2 finish in the Boy’s Division, while Chloe Ng Ker Ee and Passion Hsu Le Ting won a silver and bronze in the Girls’ Division.

Ice Skating: Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy

Ice skaters Xu Jing Feng and Geok Qin Loh fought well in the Asian Open Short Track Trophy 2023 held in Bangkok, from 31 August to 2 September 2023. Our ice skaters have faced a myriad of challenges in preparing and training for any upcoming competitions since Singapore’s only Olympic-sized ice rink shut down in early August. However, Secondary 3 student-athlete Geok Qin Loh was ultimately able to return to Singapore with a silver medal from the Junior ‘C’ Women’s 1000m event.

Multi Sport: Spartan Race

Our young secondary 1 student-athletes Jessie Tan Qian Chi and Jovan Chan Jie Hui from the newly launched Multi-Sport Academy put their skills to the test at the Spartan Race in July. They showcased their speed, strength, endurance and grit to win silver medals in the 12-14 Competitive Girls’ and 12-14 Competitive Boys’ categories respectively.

Sailing: National Sailing Championships

While preparing for the Asian Games, Elkan Reshawn Oh won the national title at the Singapore National Sailing Championships in the iQFoil class event, held from 2 to 5 September 2023.

Taekwondo: 48th National Kyorugi Ambassador Championships 2023

Taekwondo exponent Gwen Koh En Qi fought hard at the 48th National Kyorugi Ambassador Championships 2023 held on 9 to 10 September. Participating in her first Kyorugi event since her primary school days, Gwen Koh could not overcome her taller opponent in the Cadet Female 47-51 kgs and eventually claimed the silver medal.

Triathlon: SMU SwimRunSprint

After a 500m swim and a 2.5km run for the SMU SwimRunSprint event on 2 September 2023, triathletes Lim Wan Ting, Janel Susastra and Vivienne Chew En took the top spots and won gold, silver and bronze respectively.
