The pantun, a traditional Malay poetic form, was recited by Singapore Sports School Principal Mr Tan Teck Hock during his Assembly address to the school on 19 August 2019. The Assembly programme continued with activities to celebrate Hari Raya Haji which took place on 11 August.

Student-athletes and staff learnt about the customs of a traditional Malay wedding through participating in interactive activities such as wearing a Baju Kurung and playing the Angklung.
