Good-Hearted Student-Athletes Commended With ROAR Awards

Ryan Hakim Rickit from the Football Academy was on his way to morning assembly when he came across a Secondary 2 student-athlete vomiting in a toilet. Acting swiftly to get help, Ryan stayed with the student-athlete and tried contacting the boy’s mentor. When he could not get through, Ryan contacted his own mentor instead and told her what had happened. Though he did not know this student-athlete personally, he stayed with him and comforted him until help eventually came.

The other awardee, Ryan Sim from the Shooting Academy, has been actively volunteering at The Red Collective since August this year. Every Saturday afternoon, Ryan helps to unload trucks filled with donated vegetables to be distributed to low-income families living in rental flats in Eunos. His desire to give back to the community is highly commendable.

Both Ryans have been exemplary in their actions, and we hope that their actions will inspire others to step up to help others in need.
