Our netball student-athletes grabbed the opportunity to join their seniors and form combined teams to compete in this year’s Deloitte Netball Super League. Held from 4 February to 19 March, each team also had an international player from Fiji playing together with them. The extra experience on court served our netballers well as they absorbed new strategies and brought their own playing style a level higher.

At the end of the league, our netballers from four different teams occupied the top 4 positions. Team Blaze, which featured five alumni netballers, current IBDP student-athletes Cheyenne Lim Hwee Suan and Kimberly Koh Jing Ting, and Diploma in Business student-athlete Janissa Tan Wei Ting, emerged top of the group. Other past and present netballers were part of Team Sneakers which came in 2nd place, Team Fier Orcas in 3rd, and Team Swifts in 4th.

Tanglin Lions Netball Tournament

The Netball Academy sent 3 netball teams to compete in the Tanglin Lions Netball Tournament held on 18 March. They faced quality competition from local international schools, club teams, and teams from Malaysia and Brunei. It was an eye-opener and a good learning platform for our student-athletes who took note of winning strategies and best practices from other teams. Team SSP Platinum secured 3rd place in the Under-19 category after playing against 8 other teams. Our netballers who played in the Under-16 category finished in 5^th and 12^th position.
