Bowlers Follow Through Smooth Momentum For Big Wins!

National Age Group 2023


It was a great outing for our past and present bowlers at the National Age Group 2023 held from 11 to 18 March 2023. Their outstanding effort at the alleys won them 9 gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze medals! In the Under-16 Boys' Singles event, Rayden Lim Yisheng maintained a high score in all 3 games and ended the event with a gold medal, recording 795 pinfalls – 28 more than his 2nd-place opponent. Dynamic duo Kang Hee Hiang and Tan Jun Kiat earned their gold medal in the Under-16 Boys Doubles with a total 1,411 pinfalls – ahead of 2nd place rivals by 68 pinfalls.

The top 3 spots in the Under-18 Girls' Doubles also went to our bowlers. Top duo Felicia Leong and Victoria Huang struck out the competition with a total 1,387 pinfalls. Lim Shi En, who paired up with alumna Ashley Victoria Lok, came in 2nd place with 1,307 pinfalls. 3rd place went to Nur Irdina Hazly and Hazel Tan who closed the match with 1,288 pinfalls.

Lim Shi En, Hazel Tan, and Ashley Victoria Lok kept up their strong performance in the singles and team events to lock down a 1-2-3 finish in the U18 Girl's All Events – with Shi En recording a total 2,025 pinfalls across 9 games. Shi En then went on to win the silver medal In the Under-18 Girls Masters. Our present bowlers teamed up with their alumni seniors in the Under-26 Girls' Doubles and Girls' Teams events with roaring success. Alumna Colleen Pee paired up with Shirlene Wong Xue Lin. The duo struck a total of 1,434 pinfalls to top the doubles event. Jade Ooi, Nura Salsabila Zulkifli and Taneisha Kaur Teo were part of the girls' team that triumphed with the gold medal.
