With The Future In Mind Scholarship
Current student-athletes Izaac Quek Yong, Ser Lin Qian and Loy Ming Ying have been awarded the ‘With the Future in Mind’ scholarship to support their Olympic dreams. ‘With the Future in Mind’ is a joint programme by the Olympic Solidarity and International Table Tennis Federation to provide high-performance pathways for talented athletes. The beneficiaries of the scholarships will have the best training opportunities and participate in quality competitions to enhance their development.
Izaac and Lin Qian have previously been awarded the scholarship and benefited greatly from it. Izaac, who broke into the Men’s Singles Top 100 rankings and swept 3 gold medals at the SEA Games shared, “The scholarship provided me with additional funds to go for additional training and competitions which has helped me tremendously in my development. I am grateful to ITTF and Olympic Solidarity for awarding the scholarship to me.”
Though Loy Ming Ying is only in Secondary 1, she was recognised for her talent and was awarded the scholarship for the first time. She is grateful for the scholarship and looks forward to attending more competitions and overseas training camps.
