Golf: SJDT Adidas Qualifiers


Passion Hsu Le Ting, a Secondary 2 golfer, showcased her skill and composure at the SJDT Adidas qualifiers from January 23 to 25 2024. She concluded the tournament with an impressive score of 71, securing the overall championship title in the female category. Chole Ng Ker Ee also delivered an outstanding performance, finishing just behind Passion with an impressive 70 (-2). Her commendable effort earned her the runner-up spot. Both Passion and Chloe secured their spots for the prestigious International Junior Championships scheduled to take place in Melbourne in November 2024.

Sport Climbing: Singapore National Boulder League - Youth Bouldering Series

Sport climber Natalie Goh Sihui started her competition season on a high after winning gold in the Youth 'A' Female category at the Singapore National Boulder League - Youth Bouldering Series. Newly joined Secondary 1 sport climber Janelle Phua Jing En participated in her first competition as a Sports School student-athlete and clinched an impressive silver medal in the Youth 'C' Female category in the same competition.

Triathlon: TAS Youth Aquathlon League (Series 1) and Metasprint Series – Aquathlon


Triathletes Lim Wan Ting and Lim Cheng Yu showcased their strength and speed during their triumphant races, which earned them podium finishes over two consecutive weekends. On 21 January 2024, the two of them participated in the Under-19 category of the TAS Youth Aquathlon League (Series 1) in the female and male categories respectively. Wan Ting completed the race first, winning the gold medal, while Cheng Yu won the silver medal among the males.

Their success continued the following weekend with the Metasprint Series – Aquathlon held on 28 January. In the 16-19 category, Wan Ting displayed exceptional performance, claiming the 1st position after completing a 750m swim and a 5km run. Her impressive timing also placed her 1st across all divisions overall. Cheng Yu continued his solid performance, securing the 3rd spot among the males in the 16–19-year-old category.

Water Polo: Water Polo National League

Three water polo players from Sports School were named Most Valuable Players in the 1st week of the Water Polo National League held at Tampines Hub. Charlene Tio Ji Suan from Secondary 5, and Secondary 2 student-athletes, Ethan Tan Zi Jun and Ryan Chua received recognition for being one of the best players in the league. Charlene is part of the team that will be making their debut at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha in February 2024.
