The Secondary 2 Learning Journey to the National Museum was a thought-provoking experience for me. One of the highlights was discovering the poignant story of Elizabeth Choy, who endured torture by the Kempetai during World War II. Hearing her story left me with a profound sense of sadness.

Additionally, I gained insights into the significant contributions of the early migrants like the Chettairs. They played an important role in the development of our economy.

Exploring the wartime era showed me the harsh realities people faced, including severe food shortages.

Overall, the day spent at the National Museum was not only a valuable educational experience but also an emotional journey. Learning about the struggles and sacrifices of individuals like Elizabeth Choy has instilled a greater appreciation for our nation's past. It was indeed a memorable day shared with friends, delving into the rich tapestry of Singapore's history.
