Young And Hungry Shooters Aim For Success In Thailand

2nd Thailand Open Shooting Championships


The world of competitive shooting witnessed an impressive display of talent as Singapore Sports School shooters delivered outstanding results at the 2nd Thailand Open Shooting Championships. The event, held in the heart of Bangkok in Thailand from 2 to 11 September, showcased the dedication and prowess of these young student-athletes, who are rapidly making a name for themselves on the international stage.

In the Air Rifle event, Secondary 2 student-athlete Amelia Noor Hisham kept her cool in the Thai heat and shot above the competition to win the 10m Air Rifle Women’s Junior Individual event, while Secondary 4 shooter Eston Soo Yin Teng had ice in his veins to score well and take 1st place in the Men’s Junior category.

Eston then teamed up with Lee Zhe Kai and Lim Hong Rui in the 10m Air Rifle Men’s Junior Team to secure the top spot. Lee Zhe Kai also added to the gold medal tally in the competition when he paired up with Bernice Lim Xuanyi in the 10m Air Rifle Junior Mixed Team.

These are ace results from our shooters, who bagged 4 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals. As these young student-athletes continue to hone their skills and gain invaluable experience locally and abroad, we will be gunning for their success in the coming years.
