Among the 23 student-athletes who received the highly coveted Scholarship is Secondary 3 swimmer, Har Mint. Har Mint, who was previously from Pei Chun Public School, has proven to be an all-rounded student-athlete. As she has been doing competitive swimming since she was eight years old, she wanted to continue pursuing the sport seriously in Sports School while balancing her studies. Har Mint hopes to represent Singapore in swimming in the future.

On receiving the Scholarship, she shared: “I was pretty shocked to receive the Scholarship as I wasn’t really expecting to get a scholarship this year. However, I am glad to have been given the opportunity to receive this. I am fortunate to have a supportive family, coaches, and friends who have dedicated so much of their time to helping me achieve my goals. This Scholarship has encouraged me to continue working hard through my training and studies.

Apart from the Scholarship being a great motivating factor for me, it has helped both me and my family financially. I believe that this Scholarship will better support me in focusing on both my studies and sports as well as achieve my long-term goals.”
