From 30 September and 1 October 2023, Secondary 4 cyclist Mikha Zuhayr Norman fought hard against other international cyclists in his category, and won first place in the 16 years old category.

Cycling: Tour de France Prudential Criterium

Cyclist Valencia Tan’s race at the Tour de France Prudential Criterium, held from 28 to 29 October 2023, put her on top of the table and made her feel on top of the world. The Tour de France is the pinnacle of professional cycling where elite cyclists cover 3,500km in three weeks. Singapore hosted the latest addition to the Tour de France. Valencia and her competitors took on the iconic city circuit amidst an enthusiastic home crowd, and she was delighted to win the race in the Women’s Open category.

Ice Skating: SEA Open Trophy

Over the weekend on 21 October to 22 October 2023, ice skater Xu Jingfeng won a total of 5 medals from various events at the SEA Open Trophy, including 2 golds from 500m and 1000m events, 1 silver from Men’s Relay, and 2 bronze medals from 1500m and Mixed relay.

Post-secondary student-athlete Pagiel Sng participated in the ISU CoE internship program in Skating School of Switzerland in Champéry, Switzerland, for two weeks. After his internship, Pagiel took the opportunity to compete in the Swiss Ice Skating Open 2023 from 26 - 29 October 2023 and achieved the bronze medal!

Pencak Silat: Uzbekistan Open

Our Pencak Silat exponents traveled the distance for the Uzbekistan Open event from 25 September to 8 October 2023, and impressed their opponents with their dazzling display of skills. They garnered 9 medals, out of which 8 of them clinched the top position with a gold medal and 1 of them returned with a silver medal.

Sports Climbing: Transend 2023

Secondary 4 sport climber Natalie Goh Sihui performed well in the recent Transend 2023 competition where she achieved a remarkable third place in the Women’s Senior event.

Triathlon: Bintan Triathlon by TriFactor

On 21 October 2023, IBDP Year 5 student-athlete Lim Wan Ting went across the seas for the Bintan Triathlon that was organized by TriFactor. The event, which was set against a scenic backdrop of Lagaoi Bay, had a picturesque finish as Wan Ting and alumna Regine Goh won gold and silver medals respectively in the All Ages category. They had to complete a 750m swim, cycle 20km, and run for 5km for the race.
