National School Games: Taekwondo and Water Polo

Taekwondo
Gwen Koh En Qi (Secondary 1) put up a standout performance in her debut competition at the NSG Taekwondo (Poomsae) Championships 2022! Executing every move with power and precision, she captured the attention of the judges and secured a score of 6.34 points. The Taekwondo (Poomsae) Championships format was similar to last year's where student-athletes performed in front of a live video recording, and all performances were judged by an off-site panel.

Water Polo
Three post-secondary student-athletes - Lau Wei Na, Janelle Ng Shang En (both IBDP Year 6) and Michelle Tan Ting Yee (extended IBDP) – teamed up with a formidable team from St Andrew’s Junior College for water polo exhibition matches against Raffles Institution (RI). Held at Our Tampines Hub, the combined team had a convincing win on both days against RI, known for its strong water polo team and constant podium finishes. The SAJC-Sports School team had control of both games with a score of 15-8 and 19-10.
