Post-Secondary Student-Athletes Top Cohort

Republic Polytechnic Graduation 2019


The sixth graduating batch from Singapore Sports School's customised Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management programme graduated on 7 May 2019 with a portfolio of sport and academic successes accumulated over seven or more years at the school.

Shooter Shannon Ng Yun Yin topped her class with three awards: The Diploma with Merit – presented to the top 10% in each graduating cohort, IRONMAN Gold Medal and Module Prize (Sports Management). Eight other post-secondary student-athletes also received the Diploma with Merit from Republic Polytechnic.

The Class of 2019 also excelled in sport. Among the graduands were shuttler Terry Hee Yong Kai, a Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games competitor with a career high of World No. 15 in the Mixed Doubles in April 2017; bowlers Charlene Lim Jia Yi, the 2019 Malaysian International Open Bowling Championship Women’s Masters champion, and Muhammad Jaris Goh Ali Akbar Goh, Men’s Team captain and medallist at the Jakarta-Palembang 2018 Asian Games and 2018 World Men Bowling Championship.
