Our shuttlers smashed their way to an impressive 15-medal haul at the WYSE Active International Age Group Series 2024. The seven-day tournament, which took place from 11 to 17 March 2024, tested our shuttlers' resilience and tenacity. Secondary 4 student-athlete Tee Kai Ze who partnered Darren Chng in the Under-17 Boys’ Doubles emerged champions after enduring multiple challenges from other top badminton talents.

“I feel very happy to be able to win the Under-17 Boys Doubles event and I’m grateful to my doubles partner as without him, I would not have been able to do this. A notable moment during the tournament was when my partner and I communicated with each other when we felt that we were doing something wrong as we were losing points. We did not blame each other but worked together to earn those points back. When we knew we had a chance at winning the title, we hyped ourselves up and went all out to win it,” said Kai Ze.

Other budding badminton talents such as Ong Jun Hao, Abhyarthna Chhajer, and May Yoon San also delivered outstanding performances, securing two medals each from the competition. Blairdimir Herbert, Maegan Tan, Tee Yin Jie, Fan Zelin, Tai Jong Waa, Stefanie Lee, and Teo Eng Ker also put their best plays forward to secure 2nd place in their respective events.

Kudos and congratulations to our shuttlers on their achievements!
