Cycling: Rocky Rumble 2025

Singapore’s young BMX talents delivered a stellar performance at the Malaysian National Championships (BMX) 2025.

Tara Alayna Weilin, who is a Year 5 student-athlete in the IBDP, blazed her way to victory in the UCI Women Junior (17–18) category, showcasing skill and speed on the track. In the UCI Men Junior (17–18) category, Mikha Zuhayr Norman, a second-year student-athlete in Diploma in Business, claimed gold with a commanding ride, clocking an impressive time of 00:30.252.

Adding to the medal tally, rising star in Secondary 1, Ilyasaq Lee Rossdi put up a strong fight in the Boys 13 category, finishing with a well-deserved silver medal and a time of 00:34.237.

Ju Jitsu: Asian Regional Championship (Southeast Asia)

Newly enrolled Secondary 1 student-athlete Caleb Liao Yongde delivered a commendable performance at the Asian Regional Championship (Southeast Asia), held in the Philippines from 12 to 13 July 2025.

Representing Singapore in Ju Jitsu, Caleb clinched a silver medal in the U16 -48kg No-Gi category. He also secured two bronze medals in the U16 -48kg Newaza and Male Duo events, showcasing both skill and versatility across multiple disciplines.

Sport Climbing: ASEAN Climbing Championships

Singapore Sports School’s sport climbers made a strong impression at the ASEAN Climbing Championships in Malaysia from 4 to 6 July 2025, with Janelle Phua and Natalie Goh striking gold in their respective categories.

Janelle topped the Female Youth Speed event, showcasing her explosive power and precision on the wall. Meanwhile, Natalie delivered a commanding performance in the Female Open Lead category to secure the top spot.

The championship gathered the region’s top talent across lead, boulder, and speed disciplines, making the Singaporean climbers’ achievements all the more commendable.

Taekwondo: 114th 2025 National Formosa Cup Taekwondo Championships, 8th Asian Junior Taekwondo Poomsae Championships

Taekwondo exponents, Ethan Liow and Gwen Koh En Qi, showed grit at the Kimunyong Cup International Open. Ethan Liow clinched a bronze medal in the Cadet Male Team event and came agonisingly close to the individual semi-finals, missing out by just 0.05 presentation marks. Gwen Koh also brought home a team bronze and advanced to the Top 16 in the Junior Female Individual category.

The two of them also competed at the 8th Asian Junior Taekwondo Poomsae Championships
 in Kuching, Malaysia, on 30 July 2025. Ethan participated in both individual and team Male Cadet Recognised Poomsae events, reaching the Round of 16, while Gwen also reached the Round of 16 in individual and team Female Junior Recognised Poomsae events. The experience provided them valuable exposure on the continental stage.

Triathlon: 113 International Triathlon, 2025 Asia Triathlon Junior Cup

Lim Cheng Yu delivered a strong performance at the 113 International Triathlon in Desaru, clinching first place in the Super Sprint Male (16–39) category with a swift finish time of 00:29:11. His impressive display of grit and endurance stood out among a competitive field. The competition was held over the weekend of 5 to 6 July 2025.

At the 2025 Asia Triathlon Junior Cup Kampar, Malaysia, from 19 to 20 July, Cheng Yu continued his fine form as he teamed up with alumna Lim Wanting in the Mixed Team Relay event, where the duo secured a commendable third-place finish.
