Shooters Target Triumph

Meyton Cup and H&N Cup


Embarking on an exciting journey to their first international competition this year, our shooters displayed focus and precision at the Meyton Cup held in Innsbruck, Austria. Over the three-day competition held from 19 to 21 January 2024, the team clinched a remarkable tally of 6 medals, including 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze.

Faithe Odelia De Souza stole the limelight, as she achieved gold in the 10m Air Rifle Women Junior event on the third day. The day before, she had also claimed a silver, while teammate Soh Yi Wei won a bronze in the same event. This achievement reinforced Faithe’s dominance in the event, as it was her consecutive year in clinching gold at the Meyton Cup.

Among the boys, Eston Soo stood tall on the podium, securing a bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior event on the second day of the competition. Undeterred, he continued his stellar performance, adding another bronze to his collection on the third day.

The dynamic duo of Tang Hong An and Jillian Su showcased excellent teamwork in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Junior event, seizing a well-deserved bronze medal on the competition's opening day.


The team also travelled to Munich, Germany, for the H&N Cup from 23 to 28 January where they gained valuable experience competing with international shooters.

To top it off, Hong An smashed the 10m Air Rifle Men national record, shooting a 628.6 in the qualification round of the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior (Individual) event.
