It was a night of reminiscing for Singapore Sports School student-athletes across all 15 batches. Alumni from the pioneer batch of student-athletes when the school first started in 2004 returned home to their alma mater to join in the 15th Anniversary Celebrations cum Awards Night 2019 on 13 February 2019.

Among the alumni who returned are golfer Timothy Low Wei Qiang, a TV and sport presenter, as emcee; netballer Bhaama Padmanathan, Miss World Singapore 2016, who assisted with the prize presentation ceremony; and swimming siblings Benjamin Kheng Wenming and Narelle Kheng Songyi, one half of band The Sam Willows, who provided entertainment during the dinner reception at Sports School’s swimming complex.

National artistic swimming duo Debbie Soh Li Fei and Miya Yong Hsing, multiple gold medallists at the Kuala Lumpur 2017 Southeast Asian Games, delivered a spectacular display of grace and finesse in the pool.

Seventeen alumni were recognised for their 2018 sport achievements during the awards ceremony, receiving the Outstanding Sports Achievement Award from guest-of-honour Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies.
