Bowling: 23rd Storm U22 International Junior All-Stars 2023

Alumna Althea Dang Thanh Ly lit up the bowling alley when she advanced to the final of the Youth Girl’s Open Stepladder event and emerged 2nd. Althea scored 411 pinfalls in the finals but it was not enough to overcome the champion from Malaysia.

Cycling: Tasmania Carnivals


Valencia Tan ended the year on a high as she cycled to multiple podium finishes at the Tasmania Carnival in Australia from 27 to 31 December 2023. Valencia, who took part in the Women’s Open Grade A, won 5 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes over the 5-day competition. She had a great start to the competition, winning 3 gold medals and 1 silver medals on the first day itself. By the end of the competition, she proved her talent and strength as she beat strong cyclists from the Australian national team, Malaysian national team, the Commonwealth Youth Games champion and the junior world champion to clinch medals at the carnival.

Gymnastics: 2nd JRC Star Artistic Championships

Secondary 4 gymnast Jovi Loh Jia Le had a triumphant outing at the 2nd JRC Stars Artistic Gymnastics Championships where he won 1st place in the Individual All-Round event. His team mates Asher Pua and Xavier Pang also performed well to place 4th and 5th respectively.

Shooting: East Asia Youth Airgun Competition

Our shooters competed in the East Asia Youth Airgun Competition held in Tochigi, Japan, from 12 to 15 December 2023 where they pitted their skills against top youth shooters from Korea and Japan. Despite the strong competition, our shooters still performed commendably to return with medals for Singapore. Well done to all!

Wrestling - Southeast Asian Wrestling Championship

Our wrestlers showcased a spectacular performance in their respective categories at the Southeast Asian Wrestling Championships (REDT) held in Cambodia from 5 to 9 December 2023.

Secondary 4 student-athlete Heba Lutfina Mohammed Jbour clinched the gold medal in the Under-17 Women's Wrestling 46kg event, while post-secondary student-athlete Aryan Azman shone with 2 silver medals in the Under-20 Greco-Roman 82kg and Senior Greco-Roman 82kg events, followed by a bronze medal in the Senior Freestyle 79kg event.
