Wushu Exponents Shine On International Stage

8th World Junior Wushu Championships


Jolie Goh remained unfazed in the face of the world’s best junior Wushu exponents at the 8th World Junior Wushu Championships. At the competition held from 6 to 10 December 2022 in Indonesia, she scored 9.09 and led the way to a slew of Team Singapore medals with a silver in the 'A' Division Female Taijijian event. On the very same day on 6 December, Nessya Koh bagged Singapore’s very first gold medal in her 'B' Division female Changquan.

Not to be outdone, 2022 Valedictorian Kassandra Ong collected a gold and a silver in her 'A' Division Daoshu and Gunshu individual events respectively, making her Team Singapore’s most bemedalled athlete at the competition. To cap things off in style, Jolie and Kassandra earned a silver medal in the 'A' Division ladies team event on the penultimate day of competition.

In total, Sports School contributed 5 medals – 2 gold 3 silver to Team Singapore’s medal haul of 14 medals – 3 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze.
