Artistic Swimmers Emerged Top At Championships

25th Char Yong (Dabu) National Youth Top 10 Table Tennis Tournament

It was a test of strength, flexibility and dynamic underwater skills for our artistic swimmers, but they were able to pass the test with flying colours at the 16th Singapore Open Artistic Swimming Championships 2022. This was evident in their impressive medal haul as the team of past and present artistic swimmers clinched a total of 12 medals – 5 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze over the 3-day competition held from 2 to 4 December 2022.

Rachel Thean (alumna), Eleanor Quah and Ong Rae-Ann put up a strong performance in the Open Solo Free with a 1-2-3 finish. Eleanor went on to win 3 more gold medals in the Junior Solo Free, as well as in the Junior and Open Duet Free events with batchmate Claire Tan. Ong Rae-Anne also did well. She took home a gold medal in the Junior Duet Technical with partner Isabelle Tang.

Meanwhile, Janelle Yeo who won a silver and bronze at the Championships also participated at the Doubled Sports International Artistic Swimming Championship 2022. At the competition held in Dubai from 16 to 17 December, Janelle clinched a silver medal in the U13-15 Duet Free event with partner LeAnn Koh.
