We extend our heartfelt congratulations to 21 of our past and present student-athletes, who have been selected as part of the inaugural cohort of the Sports Excellence Potential (spexPotential) programme, comprising 48 athletes. This initiative represents a significant enhancement to Singapore’s high-performance sports framework, designed specifically to bolster support for talented athletes aiming to excel at the SEA Games through financial and programmatic support for athletes within the high-performance sports pathway. Additionally, this programme aims to facilitate a smoother transition for young athletes as they progress to the senior level.

Wushu World Champion, Zeanne Law Zhi Ning, fencer Si To Jian Tong, and Victoria Chan Jing Hua, an alumna and accomplished sailor, have been granted the prestigious spexScholarship this year. With their addition, nearly half of the 103 recipients of the spexScholarship are either current or former student-athletes, underscoring the strong representation from Singapore Sports School.

The exceptional achievements of our athletes bring immense pride not only to Sports School but also to Singapore as a whole. With the invaluable support provided by both spexPotential and spexScholarship, we harbour great confidence in our athletes' ability to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination.

Let us continue to rally behind them with our unwavering support and encouragement!
