Melaka Open, 10th Club ZOOM Kindred Spirit Series 2023 and 2nd Singapore Athletics-Club ZOOM Kids’ Athletics Team Championships 2023

Track and Field Academy student-athletes showcased outstanding performance at the Melaka Open, held in Malaysia, from 18 to 19 November 2023. They emerged triumphant with 11 medals – an impressive collection comprising 4 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals.

IBDP Year 5 student-athlete Sharifah Falisha Syed Ahmed Riadh was the standout performer, clinching 2 of the 4 gold medals at the competition. She aced her long and triple jumps to secure the top spot in the ranking. Ifeanyichukwu Asyaraff Ibrahim Molokwu contributed to the gold medal tally by winning the 400m Men’s Open, while the 4x100m Women’s team, consisting of Jennica Chan Cheng Ern, Audrey Koh Shun Yi, Neo En Yu and Ho Yi Xuan, secured another gold.

Adding to the glory, each 4x100m Women’s team member won at least another medal at the competition. Audrey Koh won two silver medals in the 400m and 800m races, Jennica Chan and Neo En Yu, while Neo En Yu and Jennica Chan came in 2nd in the Women’s 100m race and triple jump respectively. Ho Yi Xuan also bolstered the team’s success with a bronze in the long jump event.

Also, the 4 x 100m Men’s’s team, comprising David Elessa Marc, Niq Rifdi Rafiqi Yusran, Emir Muhammad Rashid and Ifeanyichukwu Asyaraff Ibrahim Molokwu, secured a silver, and Abdul Raqib Abdul Razak won a bronze in the Men’s's 100m race.

10th Club ZOOM Kindred Spirit Series 2023 and 2nd Singapore Athletics-Club ZOOM Kids’ Athletics Team Championships 2023

Locally, trackers continued their winning streak at the 10th Club ZOOM Kindred Spirit Series 2023 from 23 to 25 November 2023 and the 2nd Singapore Athletics-Club ZOOM Kids’ Athletics Team Championships 2023 on the 26 November, where they had an impressive medal haul.

Over the four days, current student-athletes collected 5 gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze, securing the 6th place in the overall team ranking.

The incoming Secondary 1 student-athletes who took part in the 2nd Singapore Athletics-Club ZOOM Kids’ Athletics Team Championships 2023 as part of their team bonding, came in 3rd in the U13 category with 43 points, behind AIC Japan Teams B and A who came in 1st and 2nd respectively.
